E-On Ratcliffe on Soar £1,000.00 10 new chairs; two speakers in the bar area; (controlled from the bar area) 2 x speaker points outside in the with leads and fittings that just plug into the outside speaker points (volume controlled from the bar area) Grassroots Grant £5,000.00 10 x new card tables (to replace the old and heavy tables used) 10 x rectangular tables, (to replace the old, heavy and 2 x circular tables. Vacuum cleaner (the old vacuum cleaner unable to cope). Bar area floor to be screeded, new contract carpet tiles fitted New window – smaller than the windows in the wall overlooking the courtyard, next to the fire door to allow in much needed light in that dark corner. If we ever do put a conservatory up this will fit in Old fire exit door replaced with new one, with toughened glass glazing on the top panel. This door has a handle on it so the smokers can let themselves in – no need to have the door open in the winter. Smoking area County Councillor £500 County Councillor Lynn Sykes, Nottinghamshire County Council, Chif Executive's Department kindly gave us a donation of £500 to purchase new curtains for our Hall. E.On Ratcliffe on Soar Power Station £500 We would like to thank E.On Ratcliffe on Soar Power Station who have donated £500 to Barton Village Hall for the replacement of an old single glazed window in our hall with a double glazed unit. This will help us reduce our energy bills and reduce our carbon footprint. We are very grateful to E.On for this donation. (31st March 2010) County Councillor £300 County Councillor Lynn Sykes, Nottinghamshire County Council, Chif Executive's Department kindly gave us a donation of £300 to help fund replacement double glazed windows. Big Lottery Fund £8,375
Awards for All (July 2010) - have awarded us a grant of £8,375 to install a Disabled Toilet and Replace the Tops of the Brick Pillars at the front of the hall. Biffaward £4,474 We have received a grant of £4,474.82 from Biffaward for the replacement of the lighting in our Hall and loft insulation. Both jobs have been done and now that we have a bit of a chill in the air we can really notice the difference the loft insulation has made. The lighting uses energy efficient bulbs and has dimmer controls. We expect our electricity bills to be significantly less. Thank you Biifawards.
