E-On Ratcliffe on Soar £1,000.00

10 new chairs; two speakers in the bar area; (controlled

courtyard – the old black speakers from the hall have been fitted

with leads and fittings that just plug into the outside

speaker points (volume controlled from the bar area)

Grassroots Grant £5,000.00

10 x new card tables (to replace the old and heavy tables used)

10 x rectangular tables, (to replace the old, heavy and
unstable trestle tables)

2 x circular tables.

Vacuum cleaner (the old vacuum cleaner unable to cope).

Bar area floor to be screeded, new contract carpet tiles fitted
with a washable covering to be laid near the bar.

New window – smaller than the windows in the wall overlooking the courtyard, next to the fire door to allow in much needed light in that dark corner. If we ever do put a conservatory up this will fit in
with that. Letter received from the planners that we do no need planning permission and the Trustees gave their agreement.

Old fire exit door replaced with new one, with toughened glass glazing on the top panel. This door has a handle on it so the smokers can let themselves in – no need to have the door open in the winter.

We have received a grant of £4,474.82 from Biffaward for the replacement of the lighting in our Hall and loft insulation. Both jobs have been done and now that we have a bit of a chill in the air we can really notice the difference the loft insulation has made. The lighting uses energy efficient bulbs and has dimmer controls. We expect our electricity bills to be significantly less. Thank you Biifawards.
